Different people choose to spend their weekends differently. Clubbing, watching movies or just chilling. But for a group of 6 passionate young men and women they use their Saturdays to volunteer. On 12th December this year, Her Flow My Concern planned and executed an outreach that saw 50 girls in Kibera receive menstrual health products that should last them for 6 months!
The CBO based in Kibera was joined with incredible partners like Sevaria Kenya, Cry not Anymore, Kigag, Team Environment Kenya, We One Action Network, Nivea Debra Modelling Academy and well-wishers like you and me who believe in the cause for safer and better menstrual health for girls in slums and underprivileged communities.
“For us it’s about restoring period pride. We don’t have a lot of money. But we have a will and a passion and that surely opens doors for us”, Edna Tuwei the CEO of the organization said.
Her flow My Concern was founded by Gabbie Nyieth who also serves as the director of the organization. Gabbie is a student at Technical University of Kenya and a renowned model. She has a team of 6 that helps execute and ensure all their outreaches are successful just like the one they organised in Kibera:

Her flow my Concern or (HFMC) will be turning 4 next year. To mark their 4th year they intend to use their privilege for more good. They are targeting to impact the lives of 300 girls with menstrual health products and hampers to last them for 6 months.
